Ingredients

  • 8 oz (1 block) cream cheese, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

1. Prepare the Pan & Oven
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and lightly flour an 8- or 9-inch round cake pan.

2. Mix the Batter
In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the sugar and continue mixing until creamy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract and melted butter until fully combined.

3. Add the Flour
Gradually fold in the flour, mixing just until incorporated. Avoid overmixing for the best texture.

4. Bake the Cake
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

5. Cool & Serve
Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice into wedges and enjoy plain or with your favorite toppings.
